Q2 I can't log in - it just comes back to the same page!

ACheck that you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher as you may not be able to view all the pages of the Samsung Fun Club with other browsers. Also check that any popup blocks are disabled and cookies enabled before you log on.

Q5 Why are some of the menus greyed out or disabled on my D900?

AThere are a few menus that have been greyed out as shipped with the D900. These appear in the Phone Settings menu under Advanced Shortcut Keys and Sound settings under Keypad Tones. These are greyed out because the Quill Style writing on the Dialing Display is set as the default. To enable these menus, you need to select a different Dialing Display:

Q6 My phone is not being recognised in the COM port for File Manager/PC Studio.

After installation when the File Manager program is accessed the following message may appear:

To resolve this the user must find out which port the cable is attached to by opening control panel/system/hardware/device manager

The cable will show as a Samsung modem. Right click on this and open the properties page. Select modem and the port this device is connected to can be read. In the PIM and file manager program select file/set up (see below)

Change to the same port from device manager (see above)
Click OK . If still not being recognised, please check that you have the compatible cable for the phone.

AA Full-level Member is a registered user with a Samsung mobile phone. A Friend-level member is a registered user without a phone or with another brand of phone. Full Members have access to all areas and downloads, whilst Friends have limited access to the services.

AActivate the infra red on both devices. Then find the file you wish to send, go to options, then send, then send via infra red.
